QUESTIONS | RE: SCHOOL

FAQ

Are you accepting new school partnerships?

Yes! If you believe we are a good fit for your school or daycare, please get in touch with us so we can open a discussion.

What do you charge a school for photos?

Morris & Co. Photography does not require any monetary investment from schools. Rather we offer our services to your school, usually with a 1 - 3 year exclusivity caveat, and we rely on parent sales to sustain operations. We do not "charge" schools for our services.

When will I receive my gallery and/or order?

School portrait galleries are returned on or before four weeks post shoot. Portrait galleries are sent via email, to the email address provided by your son or daughter's school. Galleries are open for viewing and ordering for 7 - 10 calendar days. If you think you have missed an online gallery from us, please reach out. Digital orders are delivered immediately (via email), upon purchase, unless revisions are requested. Revision requests can take up to two weeks, depending on the specifics, to release back to parents. Print packages and all other tangible orders take two to four weeks for arrival, depending on the shipping method selected. If you have specific questions about a gallery or order, do not hesitate to reach out.

what happens when i miss the deadline to order?

Life happens. We understand. If you have missed the deadline to order your photos, please reach out and include your child's full name, grade/age and school he/she attends. We will make every effort to re-publish your gallery and present another opportunity for you to place an order. Please understand that placing late orders may require a fee and/or only allow for digital purchases if the print window has passed.

How do I download my photos? Do I need a PIN?

You do not need a PIN to download your photos. You first have to purchase (checkout online) by adding your desired collection/package to the cart (shopping cart icon). Once you complete your online purchase, a separate email will be sent to you with a link to download your photos. If you try to download a photo and it asks for a PIN, that simply means you have not yet purchased the image(s). Please reach out with any questions on ordering.

Can you retouch my photos?

Absolutely. When checking out online you will see an option for "retouching" in the available product offerings. Simply add this to the image(s) you would like revised and we will take care of this for you. Please note that depending on the specific request, retouching can take up to two weeks.

HOW MUCH DO SCHOOL PHOTOS COST?

School photos range in cost depending on the type of image offered. Prices start at $25 for an a la carte print and $65 for a digital download with print release. Print packages start at $35 for a collection of professional prints. Please inquire for more specific information on investment.

QUESTIONS | RE: CHILDHOOD/FAMILY

FAQ

what can i expect from a family or childhood session?

Prior to your session we will help with wardrobe, which is largely based on your vibe as a family (or your child's personality) as well as the selected location. Michelle is the only photographer on our team who shoots family/childhood sessions. While the children are encouraged to play and remain casual, Michelle will "direct" the session in order for each participant to know where to stand, where to walk, how to sit, what to do with your hands, etc. Babies, toddlers and preschool aged children are usually left to their own devices, however, Michelle is very engaging and experienced with children and is always sure to get "the" shots at every session.

What time of day do you shoot?

On location family and/or childhood sessions are offered only during "the golden hour" which is about 60-90 minutes before sunset. Newborn shoots are done in-home, which allow lots of flexibility with timing. Should certain accommodations need to be made with regard to time of day, please let us know and we can discuss.

what will my gallery be like?

You can expect to receive a variety of poses, color images, black and white images, photos shot both "close up" and "far back" with artistic composition always at the forefront. The total amount of images delivered depends on many factors, including how many people attend the session, the age of the children and level of participation, etc. For example, a family with four children and both mom and dad participating can easily yield 200 photos. However, a childhood session with just one boy/girl might be more around 75 photos. Feel free to email us for links to specific galleries that might be most similar to your situation.

Do you sell digitals?

Absolutely. We live in a digital world. We are firm believers in backing up all precious images in multiple places. This doesn't mean we don't extraordinarily value printing photos, however, we think it's of critical importance to preserve your images
using multiple methods. We offer a Print Release and high resolution digital images with all of our Collections.

what do we do about bad weather?

GA weather is certainly unpredictable. Should we have weather concerns, we will get in touch with you the day of the session upon reviewing the forecast and associated radar. We cannot shoot if there is rain. We can shoot, however, with cloudiness (depending on location and various other factors). The ideal conditions will always be sunshine and no precipitation. The "call" is usually made to reschedule a session (when necessary) about 4-5 hours before appointment time in order for all parties to plan accordingly. Rescheduled sessions will receive priority on our calendar.

How much does it cost?

We would love to send your our full Session Catalogue via email which will certainly answer any additional questions you might have. The Session Fee is $250. Prints, digitals and other products are sold separately. Your session fee is not credited toward purchases made. Appointments outside of Savannah, Pooler or Richmond Hill require an additional travel fee. Customers should expect to invest at least $750 with Morris & Co. Photography.

questions | RE: SENIORS

FAQ

when should i book my senior session?

Most families book senior sessions during the summer or early fall before their senior year. If your son/daughter is going to be a senior in August, we suggest reaching out in the spring to get on the calendar. Completing your senior session early in the senior year allows for ample time to submit to the yearbook, design announcements, print gifts for family, etc.

where do you book senior sessions?

We have a large variety of "go-to" locations in and around the lowcountry. We are also able to shoot at your place of residence or a location you hold close to your heart. Please reach out so we can discuss options for your on-location senior session. Most sessions take place somewhere coastal, downtown Savannah or at your home/neighborhood.

what is a senior session like?

Senior sessions are more "directed" than family sessions. We will be sure to tell your senior where to stand, what to do with his/her hands, etc. We are here to make them look and feel their best! You should expect to spend about 45 minutes with us for your session. Wardrobe changes are welcome!

Your company shoots for my school, what do I do next?

Every school handles senior photos a little differently. Please reach out to us with specific questions for your senior casual and/or formal appointment.

can we bring props?

Yes! Props can be fun, however, they are not necessary. It's totally up to you. For example, often times an athlete will bring some of their sporting equipment with them. Likewise, those who play instruments typically bring theirs for a couple shots. We will conduct most of the session without props, but "throwing some in" is always an option.
